   LVDT Probe Principle

Inductive Probes
The effort of measurements with inductive probes is based on the changing position of a magnetically permeable core inside a coil pack. On principle, you can distinguish between half-bridges (differential inductors) and LVDT's (Linear Variable Differential Transducers). Mahr's new P2000 probe series apply high-linearity, patented transducers (VLDT-Very Linear). Differential Transducers) operating, similar to LVDT's, on the principle of the differential transformer.
